Maurice is an experienced trout-fisher and arranges your trip to fit in with your itinerary
Maurice will take you to trout waters on either the Manawatu River or Rangitikei River systems… (about two hours travel by car).

·       Fishing licensing organised for you,
·       Where required, last minute casting practice arranged nearby;
·       Maurice collects you around 6:30am and
·       arrive on the water before 9:00 am as the sun hits the water;
·       After practice (if needed) and “gearing up”; fishing commences after a cuppa;
·       Morning tea/coffee included in package;
·       Lunch can be provided, at an extra cost;
·       Fishing concludes from 3.00pm onwards;..the later we fish the later we get home:
·       Ample opportunity for photographs;
·       After another tea or coffee
·       travel back to accommodation arriving around 5:30pm, or afterwards;
·       Bragging starts when you arrive home!

Equipment and clothing for local stream and river fishing are available for small rental fee.

What You need to bring: Sun block, insect repellent, thick socks, drinking water, polaroid glasses, wide brimmed hat,
Spare dry clothes, camera (in waterproof bag), and footwear like wading boots / sandals.

Cost: $NZ350 per person (plus gear hire and licence) per day.

“Introduction to Fishing in New Zealand” publication can be provided free to clients.
Most waters in New Zealand are in the public domain and are easily accessed, via public rights of way and the Queens Chain, with rainbow and brown trout existing in most waters.
Maurice attends to all legal provisions and advises on the technical aspects of fly-fishing.
New Zealand is generally accepted as offering the best trout fishing in the world, so what does that mean?
