FISHING REPORT. CARP ON THE ROCKS AT LLYN Y GORS
The twenty five anglers who turned out Sunday morning for the latest winter league fixture, found the match lake at Llyn y gors covered with a thick layer of ice and faced the choice of whether to break the ice or return home and reschedule the match. With the majority of anglers deciding to return home, the match was postponed, although in hindsight they might regret the decision as those who stayed to fish on were well rewarded for their efforts, in particular Dave Artell who braved the conditions to bag an impressive 20 lb of small carp plus one bonus fish of 4 lb using pole and maggot/corn hookbaits. Elsewhere the ice proved to be too thick so the other lakes remained unfished this weekend.
