Llyn Y Gors due to add more fish to an already productive water Here are our first shots of the quality of fish we are adding to the Carp Lake in mid February. As you can see the quality is outstanding on the heavily scaled mirrors. The shots were recently taken during a sample netting which produced over a ton of fish alone. It will now be a matter of time before these fish will be introduced into their new home at Llyn Y Gors. Roll on February. Plenty of action to report during a nice mild week here at Llyn y Gors. Regular visitor Dave Moore and an excellent day session on the Pleasure Lake. Dave put together 50 + lb of carp on bread punch. Not bad at all for a winter session. Bryan Wilkinson caught his first pike of the winter during a morning session on the Carp Lake. The 6 lb jack fell to a legered dead bait and gave a good old fight. Local angler Jason Payne fished a weekend session with friend Andy Starr and caught the biggest fish of the weekend. Andy was the first to catch as he landed a recently stocked mirror which scaled in just over the 11 lb mark. Andy fished "The Backs" with Richworth Bio-Plex his choice of bait. Jason's frustration was mounting as he had reported 4 lost fish, but was pleased when he landed a mirror of 15 lb on Nutrabaits Trigga boilies not long after Andy had the first fish of the session. Jason fished in "Ghostie Corner". Darren, Luke and Ben Williams fished a weekend session on the Carp lake and landed 5 fish in total. Ben landed 2 mirrors (one of which was on his dad's rod!) both around the 10 lb mark. Ben fished with dad Darren on "The Point" and they landed four fish in total as Darren caught a further two fish. The first was a ghostie of 11 lb 2 oz and the second was a lovely common of 14 lb 6 oz. All four fish were caught on Trigga Ice boilies. Luke also landed a ghostie of 9 lb. He fished around the corner in "Derek's Mountain" and tempted the fish on Nash Whisky boilies.
