DESCRIPTION
Weirpool alongside common land in the city centre. It gets very busy in the summer months and is best fished in the autumn and winter.
FISH
Chub to 7lb, Pike, 15lb, Roach 1.5lb. Carp 15lb. Some small wild brown trout in the fast water.
TACTICS
There are some really big chub that have fallen in the past to legered sprats intended for pike. Bronze maggot on the waggler, cast right across to Darwin college, will catch the smaller samples. Lots of Jacks if you like spinning!
