Cleabarrow Lake
Outside of Windermere, off B5284, Cumbria.

DESCRIPTION
Cleabarrow Tarn was hand dug at the turn of the 20th Century and comprises a scenic 2 acre lake dotted with several mature islands. The average depth is three feet. WADAA has completed extensive improvement works at the fishery which included the building of a dam, construction of permanent pegs and a perimeter footpath. The fishery is open all year round but fishing is most productive from April to October. Weedy with roughly 20 pegs.

FISH
Carp 25lb, Tench, Bream 9lb and lots of Roach, Rudd and Golden Orfe Eels

TACTICS
Particles, pellets for the Carp and Eels to worms and maggots , sweetcorn for the Tench.

RULES
The fishery rules do not permit the use of keepnets and barbless hooks are recommended. Groundbait is restricted to 1 kilo dry weight.
