DESCRIPTION
A Carp lake lies 70 yards from the cottages with a woodland around two sides affording a sheltered environment for fishing and a idyllic view. A few yard on three lakes take up an area of seven acres and are surrounded by lovely mature woodland. One Carp lake, one Tench and one of mixed species. The delightful lodges overlook these lakes in a quiet woodland setting. Directions: From Exeter at the end of M5 take the A30 to Oakhampton at the lights turn right on to the A386 to Hatherleigh; at Hatherleigh (7 miles) turn left on to the A3072 Holsworthy / Bude. Travel for 7 miles then turn left at the sigh ' Chilla 2 miles'. Kingslake is ¾ of a mile along this road on the left. (also signposted on the main road).
FISH
Kingslake has four well stocked lakes; Two Carp lakes one to 30+lbs and one to 16+lbs, A Tench lake with tench to 7.25lbs and one mixed lake with carp, tench, roach to 3.5lbs, bream & dace.
TACTICS
For Carp: White chocolate boilies, luncheon meat, floating crust & pedigree chum mix. Best sport around margins and islands. Mixed Lake: Bread punch, maggots, luncheon meat and sweet corn. Tench: Sweet corn, luncheon meat and maggots.
TICKETS
Fishing is for residents only and the cost of fishing all the lakes is £15 per week or £2.50 per day for short breaks. The cost of accommodation varies according to the type and season. 1 to 4 bedroom cottages are available and lakeside lodges of 2 & 3 bedrooms.
