Blunts Mere
Hoe Mill, Hatfield Peverel, Ulting, Chelmsford, Essex.
DESCRIPTION
Set in the countryside at Ulting with fairly dense undergrowth surrounding parts of the bank. This is regularly cut back on working parties in order to reduce the number of snags. When the lake is full, average depth is 7 feet, with shallower parts containing weed beds.
FISH
Carp to 27 lb, Tench to 6 lb, and excellent Rudd to 3½ lb plus, Crucians to 1 lb.
TACTICS
All methods produce and conventional baits should not be forgotten.
