Swangey Lakes

DESCRIPTION
Swangey Lakes is a complex of three lakes situated just off the A11 near to Attleborough, Norfolk. The lakes are made up of, a Main Lake, a Pike Lake and the Match Lake. The lakes are mature gravel pits, with their gravel being extracted for the nearby A11 road improvements years ago. The bottom of all of the lakes are made up of silt, with gravel spots, bars and plateaux to be found in various areas around the lakes.
