Halsham Pond
Halsham, Withernsea (Behind The Halsham Arms), Nr Hull
DESCRIPTION
Three small ponds in nice surrounding. I have found the largest pond fishes best, although all produce a good bag of fish – there’s a pub at the back that’s always handy for a quick lunch time pint. Although these ponds are small they produce some good fish and plenty of them. Always best to get there early.
FISH
Very good head of carp up to 15lb, Roach to 3lb, Tench to 5lb, bream. This pond has lots and lots of smaller stuff and is generally good days fishing.
TACTICS
Recommend fishing as close to the reeds as possible with 4 or 5 maggots on the hook and a few pellets dropped in on regular occasions to keep them interested.
