Selby 3 Lakes

DESCRIPTION
Just outside the small yet bustling rural town of Selby in North Yorkshire lies twelve acres of beautiful tree lined specimen carp water. The Selby 3 Lakes carp thrive within this mature clay pit, which were dug well over eighty years ago, A food rich environment with, islands, bars, bays and lilleys. It is now one lake in essence, as the 3 lakes were excavated in 1992 to form the islands, cut-throughs and bays which now give the lake its unique and natural beauty. FISH
All the lakes have their own unique features and moods and yet share the most important aspect of all; They all produce big carp! With over two hundred fish, most of them twenties with eleven recorded thirties and an incredible recorded forty! The lakes magnificent lady, Lucy. The lake also holds many specimen coarse fish, excepting the Pike.

TACTICS
Although Gordon now stocks Nutrabaits products as of 2001, the carp respond to all manner of baits, both old and new. It has seen all the major brands of carp bait, and all the not so major. These large carp have seen some of the country's top carp anglers, and rigs and bait are of course an important factor. But since leaving its syndicate status in February 2000, many newcomers to the water have achieved great results with sometimes even a thirty on their first session!

RULES
3 rods maximum (2 for coarse fishing), No fish over 3lb in keepnets, No Dogs, No litter, No carp sacks, No bent hooks, No leadcore, No carp line under 12lb, No shock leaders, No remote controlled boats or dinghys, No patricles (beans, seeds or nuts), No trout pellets. No fixed leads, Unhooking mats must be used. Any anglers wishing to fish overnight must also book in advance with their session dates.
