DESCRIPTION
Shallow ( no deeper than 8 feet ). lots of reeds at edge. only small aerea of bank may b used for fishing and boats. over 2 miles long ( although the end part is out of bounds ). slightly polluted these days due to rn off of farmers fertilisers and it is silting up. only good really for pike and carp if you really can research the runs of the carp and can stake them out ( ie its not for the casual carp angler ).

FISH
Huge pike ( previously held uk record with a 40lb pike, and lots of 20lb+ pike ), carp to +50lb but difficult to locate. bronze bream, silver bream, big roach, chub ( mostly at far end where you can't fish ) and lots of 3lb+ perch in jan on spinners. i am told that the eel fishing is good. tench do inhabit lake but infrequent. no catfish, zander, trout, salmon, grayling, barbel but every common uk course fish. mainly known for its pike fishing.

£7 to fish in a boat with £3 per additional person in the boat. £3 a day from the bank.

RULES
No livebaiting, return fish, no night fishing. bay on right when you come in is well known for pike as is area near jetties. huge lake and fishfinder could come in handy ( its 3/4 of a mile wide and over 2 miles long )
