Large Lake
Cotswold Water Park, Gloucestershire

DESCRIPTION
lake situated within the Cotswold Country Park with good pedestrian access around it. There are car parking and toilet facilities at the northern end, close to Top Pit, with a small carpark (Nature Reserve car park) towards the southern end, which can only be accessed via the 'Waterland' entrance (Consult your permit - club membership entitles you to free entry into Cotswold Country Park whilst fishing).

FISH
The lake contains a healthy population of carp, some quite large, a 33lb 8oz common was caught in September 2008. It is noted for its excellent bream fishing and on the day can produce some decent tench. There are also roach, perch in the lake, as well as a few large pike, which are caught occasionally.

TACTICS
Maggots, Corn, Bread Flake, Worm all work well.

RULES
No fishing is allowed at the northern end, or on the north west and north east shores, as these areas are used by the other Country Park users, but there is plenty of bank space elsewhere, where you can fish in peace and solitude.
