There are car parking and toilet facilities at the northern end, close to Top Pit, with a small carpark (Nature Reserve car park) towards the southern end, which can only be accessed via the 'Waterland' entrance (Consult your permit - club membership entitles you to free entry into Cotswold Country Park whilst fishing).

The lake contains a healthy population of carp, some quite large, a 33lb 8oz common was caught in September 2008. It is noted for its excellent bream fishing and on the day can produce some decent tench. There are also roach, perch in the lake, as well as a few large pike, which are caught occasionally.

Maggots, Corn, Bread Flake, Worm all work well.
