Felling Fly Fishing Club have leased 610 metres of single bank fishing on the River Liddle, a tributary of the Border Esk, at Penton Bridge. This river (also known as Liddell Water) is famous for its run of sea trout from June onwards and salmon from July. There is also a good head of brown trout. This is the only Scottish river system where the Environment Agency (England and Wales) has jurisdiction and an EA Licence is required.
