From Cattawade, Brantham to Nayland, Suffolk/Essex
Slow running river in lower reaches turning to streamier sections around Langham/Boxted Mill then slow running till you reach Nayland.
Lower stretch at Catterwade has v good shoals of bream, some big tench to 9lb and big carp. Flatford and above is good for roach, chub and general freshwater river fishing. Barbel have been introduced at boxted bridge but I've not seen any yet.
If you are after carp in the lower streches, good luck as they head staight for the reed beds before you even think of turning them. For chub try bread, sweetcorn or cheesepaste, freelined or light leger.
