Tactics
Carp, boileys fished tight against far margins. Coarse fishing: heavy baiting, swimfeeder and quivertip for bream. Corn or worm on hook, perch and roach float fishing up in the water.

Rules
Pike: Only experienced anglers allowed. All anglers fishing for pike at this venue must be experienced pike fishermen. All anglers must have with them a large unhooking mat, forceps, wire cutters, large landing net of at least 36 inches. All paternoster baits must be fished with an up trace twice as long as the bait trace. Minimum line strength 15lb but braid of 20lb+ is recommended. Maximum of 4 rods to be used and never left unattended. All anglers must have good bite indication, either surface floats or visible drop off. All hooks must be semi-barbed. When boat fishing no ledgering is allowed, every rod must be fished with surface floats. A carp sack or pike tube is advised to either retain a fish for photographing or if unhooking is a problem and help is needed. No course fishing on this ticket. No live baits. No night fishing No fishing from the Balcombe Estate bank, dam wall or causeway wall. Coarse: No litter, discarded line, tin cans, lead shot. No tents no fires, including barbecues. No pike fishing of any kind on this day ticket including spinning. No fishing from the Balcombe Estate bank, dam wall or causeway wall. Keep nets can be used, they must be at least 8 feet long and staked out in deep water. No carp or pike in keep nets. All fish must be returned to the water alive and undamaged. Valid rod licences must be held for all rods used. No night fishing
