Hickstead Lakes Fishery

Description
Two pretty lakes comprising of Dovecotte lake with its abundant lily pads and gently sloping banks and Bullrush lake with dug out pegs and reed beds at either end allowing you to get right down to water level. Free use of BBQ's, onsite parking, and toilet with a cafe close by, open till 3pm. This venue is ideal for both serious carpers and pleasure anglers alike. Directions:- just off the A23 at Hickstead take the Buress Hill Road, 1st turning on the left, follow the signs to Hickstead Hotel, turn into hotel entrance and the fishery is on the left hand side. Fish Details
Carp to 30lb Roach to 1 1/2lb a good head of Bream. We will be re-stocking with Tench and Perch in 2009
Tactics
Both lakes work well with luncheon meat, boilies, sweetcorn and lobworms. Fishing just off the lily beds or along the reeds brings good results. Float/feeder and surface tactic all work
