Lake John Fishery

Description
Lake John comprises two lakes, both are well stocked with fish. This popular Essex fishery offers plenty of opportunity for carp fishing, boasting 30lb carp and an increasing average of 20lb being caught. Match fishing is also on the increase and good mixed bags of 50lb plus are not uncommon, with such mixed stock levels this fishery creates good all year round sport. The Car park is next to the lake and is visible from all swims, thereby creating a safe environment in which to leave your vehicle.

Fish Details
The lower lake has roach and rudd to 1lb, tench to 3lbs, bream to 7lbs and carp to 11lbs. The top lake has larger fish with the carp going to 30lbs.

Tactics
Maggots, casters, worms, corn and meat all work well.

No night fishing, No keepnets (except for match fishing), No fires, No fishing between swims, Barbless hooks only, No ground bait except in feeders, No boilies, trout pellets or nuts, Nets to be dipped in disinfectant tanks (provided) before fishing, Fish to be unhooked on unhooking mats, One rod on small lake, two rods maximum on main lake.
